DRDO and Indian Navy Successfully Test Naval Anti-Ship Missile (NASM-SR)
The Defense Research and Development Organization and the Indian Navy have successfully performed the maiden salvo launch which is the Naval Anti-Ship Missile-Short Range (NASM-SR). The test was carried out from the naval helicopter in the state of Odisha and it also marks the significant upgradation in the India’s indigenous missile capabilities. The NASM-SR test stands out as the India’s first-ever salvo launch of the air-launched anti-ship missile system.

Sabastian Sawe created history by becoming the first man to run an official marathon in under two hours. He achieved this milestone at the London Marathon 2026 with a record time of 1 hour 59 minutes 30 seconds. With this feat, he became the first athlete to break the 2-hour barrier in an official marathon race.
India Launches First Official F1 Sim Racing Championship
India has launched the F1 Sim Racing India Open 2026, its first official Formula 1-sanctioned esports championship, in partnership with Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited on 28 April. Utilizing the official F1 game, the tournament establishes a professional pathway from virtual simulators to real-world motorsport.This initiative follows the 2025 recognition of esports under Indian law and capitalizes on surging F1 popularity. By removing high financial barriers, the championship aims to discover local talent through online and city qualifiers, ultimately strengthening India’s motorsport culture and supporting the potential return of a Formula 1 Grand Prix to the country.
