Telangana Formation Day 2026

On June 2nd, 2026 celebrates the Telangana Formation Day every year since the formation of the state. In 2026, this day commemorating the 12th anniversary of the creation of Telangana as a separate state from united Andhra Pradesh. This occasion marks the decade long movement driven by the people for regional identity, equitable development and self-governance. In the year 2014 Telangana was created from State of Andhra Pradesh and became the 29th State of India.

Meet the Indian Students Who Won the Earth Prize 2026 with Plas-Stick Innovation

Indian teenagers Vivaan Chhawchharia, Ariana Agarwal, and Avyana Mehta won the 2926 Earth Prize as they developed the Plas-Stick, it is the biodegradable material derived from the tamarind seed powder which can effectively remove microplastics from water. Their affordable and scalable solution addresses the one of the most challenging environments challenges currently is microplastic contamination. The three Indian students emerged as the Global Winners of The Earth Prize 2026 and becoming the first team from India to achieve this award.

Sumit Antil Breaks World Record at Indian Open International Para Athletics Championships 2026

Two-time Paralympic champion Sumit Antil set a new world record in the Men’s Javelin Throw F64 category with a throw of 74.82 metres at the Indian Open International Para Athletics Championships 2026 in Bengaluru. Representing Haryana, Antil surpassed his previous world record of 73.29 metres, which he had established at the Asian Para Games 2022, and won the gold medal.

Admiral Krishna Swaminathan has assumed charge as the 27th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of the Indian Navy on 31st May, 2026. He succeeds the Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, who retired after serving the nation for over four decades. He had a exceptional naval career spanning nearly 39 years Admiral Swaminathan brings the extensive operational, strategic and leadership experience. The Indian Navy witnessed the major leadership transition on 31st May 2026 as the Admiral Krishna Swaminathan formally took charge as the India’s top naval commander.

India’s First SkyCast System Launched at IGI Airport
