Anish Dayal Singh Appointed Deputy NSA to PM

In a strategic move to bolster India’s national security leadership, the government has appointed Anish Dayal Singh, a seasoned 1988-batch IPS officer from the Manipur cadre, as Deputy National Security Advisor (NSA) to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 60-year-old former CRPF chief will report directly to NSA Ajit Doval, strengthening the security framework with his extensive experience in internal security, intelligence, and border management. Born in 1964 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Singh joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1988 and was trained at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
Ajay Singh re-elected as Boxing Federation of India president

Ajay Singh was elected as the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) President for a third consecutive term, defeating Jaslal Pradhan (Sikkim) by 40–26 votes. AP Govt Announces ₹1 Crore Cover for Municipal Staff

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to workers’ welfare and civic responsibility, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on August 23, 2025, announced a comprehensive insurance scheme for municipal workers. Under this initiative, municipal staff will receive ₹1 crore life cover, while outsourced workers’ families will be entitled to ₹20 lakh in case of accidental death. The scheme was launched during the Swachh Andhra–Swarna Andhra campaign in Peddapuram, Kakinada district.
