Tejaswin Shankar, 26, set a new national decathlon record for India by scoring 7,826 points and finishing fourth at the Wieslaw Czapiewski Memorial 2025 in Poland, surpassing his previous best of 7,666 points from the 2022 Asian Games. The event was won by Czech athlete Ondrej Kopecky, who set a meet record with 8,254 points, followed by Vilem Strasky (Czechia) and Risto Lillemets (Estonia) in second and third positions respectively.

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, has been appointed as the Executive Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) after receiving shareholder approval. His appointment, effective May 1, 2025, marks a new chapter in the leadership structure of India’s largest conglomerate. The RIL board of directors appointed Anant Ambani on April 25, 2025, subject to shareholder approval. A graduate of Brown University, he has already been serving as a non-executive director in RIL. His appointment comes as part of Reliance’s long-term succession planning within the Ambani family.
