World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2025: Ending Organized Crime and Supporting Victims

Human trafficking is one of the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century. It is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights, affecting men, women, and children across the world. Every year, thousands of individuals are exploited through forced labour, sexual exploitation, slavery, and coerced criminal activities. To combat this menace, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 30 July as the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, as per Resolution A/RES/68/192. The observance serves as a global call to end human trafficking, ensure justice for survivors, and dismantle organized criminal networks.

ISRO to Launch Earth Observation Satellite NISAR Today

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch the highly anticipated NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) today from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, at 5:40 pm using the GSLV-F16 rocket. The countdown began yesterday at 2:10 pm, marking the final phase of preparation for one of the most ambitious Earth observation missions ever undertaken.

Two Consecutive Successful Flight Tests of Pralay Missile Conduct By DRDO

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully conducted two consecutive flight tests of the Pralay missile on July 28 & 29, 2025, from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. These user evaluation trials validated the missile’s max. & min. range capabilities, confirming its high accuracy and reliability. The indigenously developed Pralay missile, equipped with state-of-the-art guidance systems, can carry multiple types of warheads, significantly strengthening the Indian Armed Forces’ operational readiness.
