Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th Birth Anniversary: 31st May 2025

Ahilyabai Holkar Jayanti is celebrated every year on 31st May to honour the birth of one of India’s greatest women rulers. In 2025, this day is very special as it marks her 300th birth anniversary. This day will be observed with pride and respect, especially in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, where she is deeply admired for her kind rule and public welfare work. Ahilyabai Holkar was born 31 May 1725 in the village of Chondi, in present- day Maharashtra. She belonged to a Marathi Hindu family. She became the queen of Indore in the 18th century after the death of her father-in-law, Malhar Rao Holkar.

World No Tobacco Day 2025
