World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an annual event observed on April 28 to promote workplace safety and ensure healthy working environments across all sectors. It highlights the importance of protecting workers’ health and well-being globally. Initiated by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2003, the day draws attention to the critical need for workplace safety standards. The theme for World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2025 is “Revolutionising Health and Safety: The Role of AI and Digitalisation at Work.”

This observance draws attention to how IP protection enables creators, musicians, and innovators to safeguard their work, ensuring they are recognized and rewarded for their contributions.

Hubballi Airport in Karnataka has been awarded the Platinum Recognition—the highest honour—under the Green Airports Recognition 2025 by Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific and Middle East. The reintroduction of cheetahs in India marks one of the most ambitious wildlife conservation initiatives in recent history. Under the Project Cheetah, India has successfully translocated African cheetahs from Namibia and South Africa to revive the extinct population. Recently, Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh witnessed a major success, as a female cheetah named Nirva gave birth to five cubs. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the Garia and Borsho Boron Utsav 2025, a two-day cultural celebration held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. Organised by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with local bodies, the festival celebrates the rich cultural traditions of Tripura—particularly the Garia Puja observed by the Tripuri and Reang communities.
