Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the winner of the Femina Miss India 2024 title. This prestigious event took place at Famous Studios in Mumbai, marking the 60th edition of India’s iconic beauty pageant. The Femina Miss India contest featured 30 talented contestants who were state winners representing all 29 states and one from the Union Territories. The Grand Finale saw these remarkable women compete fiercely for the coveted title. Nikita Porwal’s outstanding performance in the competition not only won her the crown but also an opportunity to represent India at the upcoming Miss World pageant.

India’s Akhil Sheoran clinched the bronze medal in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at the ISSF World Cup Final in New Delhi. In a high-pressure moment, Sheoran displayed remarkable composure and precision, making a decisive shot in the final round to finish third with a score of 452.6. Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian cricket captain and ex-BCCI President, has been named the Director of Cricket for JSW Sports. Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as Haryana’s Chief Minister for the second time, marking BJP’s third consecutive term in power in the state. The central government has given its in-principle approval for Bihar’s second tiger reserve in Kaimur district. This decision follows a proposal from the Bihar government to develop the Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary (KWLS) into a tiger reserve. Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) in West Champaran was the only tiger reserve in Bihar until now. VTR has exceeded its carrying capacity, currently housing 54 tigers, surpassing the ideal limit of 45.
