To observe World Cleanup Day through activities aimed at raising awareness of the role clean-up efforts play in sustainable development. The day aims to mobilize people globally to participate in coordinated voluntary action, empowering collaboration, and raising broad awareness of the need to reduce waste pollution tangibly.

IPS Officer Anurag Garg Appointed as New NCB Director General

Anurag Garg, a 1993-batch IPS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Currently serving as Additional DG in the Border Security Force (BSF), Garg’s tenure as NCB DG will last until May 23, 2026, or until further orders.

19th Divya Kala Mela Unveiled in Visakhapatnam

The 19th edition of the Divya Kala Mela was inaugurated in Visakhapatnam by the Hon. Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, alongside dignitaries like Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, and other MPs. The event provided concessional loans of Rs. 40 lakh to 10 Divyang beneficiaries under NDFDC schemes and distributed assistive devices with the support of CSR partners such as HPCL, GAIL India, and IOCL.
