Indian Men’s Hockey Team Won Asian Champions Trophy 2024

India’s Men’s Hockey Team clinched the 5th Title of Asian Champions Trophy in 2024, by winning a goal from Jugraj Singh, India beat China 1-0 in the final game of the tournament. Harmanpreet Singh provided the assist, Jugraj Singh scored the winner as an unlikely combination gave India their fifth men’s Asian Champions Trophy title.

DRDO Successfully Completes First Phase Trials of Light Tank ‘Zorawar’

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted the preliminary automotive trials of the Indian Light Tank, Zorawar, on September 13, 2024. The versatile platform, developed for high-altitude deployment, demonstrated exceptional performance in desert terrain, meeting all objectives. The firing performance in this phase achieved the required accuracy on designated targets, showcasing its combat readiness.

The 9th Ladakh Zanskar Festival 2024 began with remarkable grandeur in the picturesque village of Sani, signifying a landmark event for the region. 43 year old, Atishi Marlena from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be the new Chief Minister of state Delhi. She will replace the AAP supremo and party chief Arvind Kejriwal. Decision was taken in the meeting of member of legislative assembly.

Vinay Goyal Appointed as State Mission Director of NHM

Dr. Vinay Goyal has officially assumed the role of State Mission Director for the National Health Mission (NHM). He succeeds K. Jeevan Babu, who has moved to the Kerala Water Authority as Managing Director. Dr. Goyal, an IAS officer of the 2016 batch, also takes charge as Director of the Kerala State IT Mission and Project Director at eHealth Kerala. In his new roles, he aims to advance Kerala’s digital and health infrastructure.

India Remains Top Source for Sri Lanka Tourism in 2024

As Indians roam all around the world, recent data came out as Sri Lanka is also one of the top travel destinations for Indians in 2024. India maintained the top spot for Sri Lanka in the first 8 months of this year. Almost 2.6 lacs Indians traveled to the island nation while 1.36 million tourists in all arrived in the first eight months of the year. As per the data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the increase in tourist arrivals in the current year to date increased by 50.7 percent as against the same period in 2023.
