20-year-old, Animesh Kujur bagged 200m gold at the Federation Cup in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Kuju has scorched the track by clocking an impressive 20.62 seconds to win the 200 metres gold. The second-best time ever by an Indian after Amalan Borgohain’s national record of 20.52 seconds. He also qualified for the 100 metre final.
Puma signs deal with Athletics Federation of India for official kit sponsor
PUMA India has signed a deal with the Athletics Federation of India to become its official kit sponsor. Manipur defeated Haryana 2-0 in the final of the 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy, to clinch their 22nd title at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, in Kolkata. Ngangom Bala Devi (68’) and Nongmeikapam Sibani Devi (83’) scored the goals to hand Manipur the match, after Haryana were down to 10 players as Samiksha was sent off for a foul on Dangmei Grace in the 65th minute.
