World Hemophilia Day 2026
World Hemophilia Day 2026 is observed on April 17 to raise awareness about the hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. This year theme is the “Diagnosis: First Step to Care” which highlights that early detection is essential for to the effective treatment. Globally more than 75% of people with the hemophilia remain undiagnosed and left many without proper care. The day also encourages governments, healthcare professional and the various communities to improve the diagnostic systems and ensure better access to treatment for all.

Sayani Gupta has been named the Harvard South Asian ‘Person of the Year’ 2026. The recognition was awarded by the Harvard South Asian Association. Indian Army Departs for 7th India–Uzbekistan Joint Military Exercise ‘DUSTLIK 2026’
The Indian Army contingent has departed for the 7th edition of India–Uzbekistan Joint Military Exercise ‘DUSTLIK’, scheduled from 12–25 April 2026 at Gurumsaray Training Area, Uzbekistan. Exercise DUSTLIK is an annual bilateral military exercise conducted alternately between India and Uzbekistan; the previous edition (2025) was held in Aundh (Pune), India.

Ismail Omar Guelleh has been re-elected for a sixth term with 97.81% of the vote in the recent presidential election. He has been in power since 1999 in Djibouti, ruling the country for over two decades, after succeeding his uncle Hassan Gouled Aptidon.

Mundra Port Sets Record as India’s Largest Automobile Export Hub
Mundra Port has emerged as the India’s largest automobile export hub. As the port has set the new national record by shipping the 6,008 cars in a single vessel.
