This international event is organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and supported by global health bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO). DRDO Successfully Conducts Maiden Flight of Stratospheric Airship Platform
On May 3, 2025, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted the maiden flight-trials of its Stratospheric Airship Platform from Sheopur in Madhya Pradesh. Developed by the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE), Agra, the airship reached an altitude of approximately 17 kilometers, marking a significant milestone in India’s pursuit of advanced surveillance and high-altitude platforms for long-endurance missions.
DRDO & Indian Navy Successfully Test Indigenous Multi-Influence Ground Mine
In a significant stride toward strengthening India’s maritime defence capabilities, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), in collaboration with the Indian Navy, successfully conducted combat firing (with reduced explosives) of the indigenous Multi-Influence Ground Mine (MIGM). This underwater mine, designed for modern naval warfare, is a cutting-edge addition to India’s defence arsenal and marks a major milestone in the country’s self-reliance initiative in the defence sector.

India’s First Edu City with Foreign Universities Coming Up in Navi Mumbai
In a landmark move to internationalize India’s education ecosystem, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the development of India’s first Edu City in Navi Mumbai, which will host offshore campuses of global universities. The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 3,000 crore with the University of York (UK) and Western Australia University at the WAVES Summit 2025.
