Fire Safety Week 2025: Health Ministry Leads Nationwide Drive to Strengthen Fire Safety

In a significant move to reinforce fire and electrical safety across India’s healthcare infrastructure, the Union Health Department has launched Fire Safety Week from April 21–25, 2025, in collaboration with all states and Union Territories (UTs), as well as relevant central ministries. Led by Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava, the campaign focuses on raising awareness, enhancing preparedness, and ensuring safety for patients, healthcare workers, and visitors through proactive planning, training, and audits.

Humanoid Robots Compete in Beijing Half-Marathon

Beijing witnessed a historic event the world’s first Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon, where machines ran alongside humans in a symbolic convergence of sport and technology. Held under global media glare, the event showcased the significant strides being made in humanoid robotics and artificial intelligence. The PoshanTracker Application, developed by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), has been awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024 under the Innovation (Centre) category. Government Re-Appoints T. Rabi Sankar as RBI Deputy Governor

The Indian government has re-appointed T. Rabi Sankar as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a period of one year, effective from May 3, 2025. This marks his second term extension. ‘Garia and Borsho Boron Utsav’ in Agartala Inaugurated By Manik Saha
