This condition primarily affects males due to its X-chromosome-linked nature. Named after Dr. Duchenne de Boulogne, who first described the disease in detail in the 1860s, DMD continues to be a focus of medical research and advocacy efforts worldwide.

Successful Launch of Agni-4 Ballistic Missile

A successful test launch of the Agni-4 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) was carried out from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha, on September 6, 2024. Phase II took place in the Arabian Sea and involved joint operations using guided missile frigates, tankers, Maritime Patrol Aircraft, and helicopters. The exercise aimed to enhance warfighting skills, improve interoperability, and promote security in the region. The first phase occurred from January 16-20, 2023, off India’s Western Seaboard.
