Emerging cricketer who is 14 years old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar by President Droupadi Murmu for his outstanding achievements in domestic and Under 19 cricket. Russia Plans to Build a Nuclear Power Plant on the Moon by 2036
Russia has announced ambitious plans to build a power plant on the Moon by 2036 to support its future lunar missions. The announcement was made by Roscosmos which is Russia’s state space agency, as global space powers accelerate efforts to explore and establish a long term presence on the Moon. The proposed plant will supply energy to rovers, scientific observatories, and infrastructure linked to a joint Russian-Chinese lunar base.
Japan to Restart World’s Largest Nuclear Plant After Fukushima Shutdown
Japan is set to resume operations at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant, the world’s largest nuclear facility, marking a major shift in its energy policy. This will be the first restart of the plant since the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster which led to a nationwide shutdown of nuclear reactors. Location: Kashiwazaki and Kariwa towns, Niigata Prefecture, on the coast of the Sea of Japan (Honshu Island). Installed Capacity: Nearly 8,200 MW (largest nuclear plant globally)

First Indian Standard for Agarbattis Unveiled By BIS
To strengthen consumer safety and product quality the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has notified India’s first ever standard for agarbattis (incense sticks). Announced on National Consumer Day 2025 the new standard IS 19412:2025. Which lays down comprehensive norms covering raw materials, burning performance, fragrance quality, and chemical safety, while explicitly banning several harmful substances. The decision is significant for India which is the world’s largest producer and exporter of agarbattis and marks a major step towards safer household products and ethical manufacturing.
Sand Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik Sets World Record With Giant Santa Claus
Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a world record breaking sand and apple sculpture of Santa Claus at Niladri Beach in Puri, Odisha. Gujarat Became a Tiger State After 33 Years NTCA Declares
In a landmark development for wildlife conservation Gujarat has been officially reinstated as a tiger bearing state after a gap of 33 years. The decision was taken by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), which has confirmed Gujarat’s inclusion in the All India Tiger Estimation (AITE) 2026 following sustained evidence of tiger presence in the Ratanmahal Sanctuary. This move marks Gujarat’s return to India’s official tiger map which is strengthening the country’s conservation narrative under Project Tiger.
