National Consumer Day 2025

National Consumer Day is observed in India every year on December 24 to underline the importance of consumer rights, protection, and awareness. This day marks a historic milestone in India’s legal framework as it was on 24 December 1986 that the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 when the assent of the president has been received. For the 2025, National Consumer Day is guided by the theme ‘Efficient and Speedy Disposal through Digital Justice’ which is  reflecting India’s growing reliance on technology driven solutions to ensure accessible, transparent, and timely consumer grievance redressal.

DRDO Completes User Trials of Next-Generation Akash Missile

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully completed the User Evaluation Trials of the Akash Next Generation (Akash-NG) missile system. The successful trials mark a significant step towards inducting a modern, indigenous air defense missile system capable of countering diverse aerial threats.

First Pollution Control Vessel ‘Samudra Pratap’ Inducts By Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard has marked a major milestone in maritime environmental protection with the induction of its first Pollution Control Vessel (PCV) which is a Samudra Pratap. The vessel was formally delivered at Goa Shipyard Limited by highlighting India’s growing indigenous shipbuilding and pollution response capabilities.

BlueBird Block-2 Satellite Takes Flight on ISRO’s ‘Baahubali’ Rocket

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launches the BlueBird Block-2 communication satellite on December 24, 2025. The satellite will be carried by India’s most powerful rocket, the LVM3, also known as the ‘Baahubali’ rocket, from Sriharikota.
