A significant boost to India’s traditional handloom heritage, Ponduru Khadi, a unique handspun and handwoven cotton fabric from Andhra Pradesh. Which has been granted the Geographical Indication (GI) tag by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. This recognition comes nearly 100 years after Mahatma Gandhi himself praised Ponduru Khadi, calling attention to its exceptional fineness and craftsmanship. Ponduru Khadi is a traditional handspun and handwoven cotton fabric, renowned for its extremely fine texture and durability.

Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve to Become New Cheetah Habitat in MP

Another significant step in wildlife conservation efforts by the state of Madhya Pradesh is that of developing Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve into a cheetah sanctuary before the next monsoon session, announced Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Situated at Nauradehi in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, it would be the third cheetah sanctuary in the state after the success of cheetah shifting at Kuno National Park.
