Every year on November 30, the world solemnly observes the Day of Remembrance for All Victims of Chemical Warfare. This day, designated by the United Nations, serves as a poignant reminder of the devastating toll of chemical warfare on both troops and civilians. It reflects on the grim reality of conflict, honors the lives lost, and underscores the ongoing efforts to eliminate the use of chemical weapons.

Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness centers across the country are now known by the name of AYUSHMAN AROGYA MANDIR. A new tagline for Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness center has also been launched. This new tagline is Arogyam Parmam Dhanam. There are a total of 1.61 lacks AB-HWCs functioning across the country. There are some important services provided by these centers like maternal and child care, first level care for emergency cases, free medicines and free diagnosis services.

Devusinh Chauhan, union minister of state for communications on 24 November inaugurated the Hamfest 2023 at science City, Ahmedabad. While giving his speech he praised the role of ham radio in helping people during natural calamities like earthquakes and cyclones. He added that the government will take necessary actions to ensure that there is at least one ham radio operator in each village of the country. This first comprises 800 ham radio operators from all over the country.

Abdullahi Mire, a Somali refugee, has been named the 2023 UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award Global Laureate for his work championing the right to education for displaced children. Mire, who grew up in the Dadaab refugee camps in Kenya, has put over 100,000 books in the hands of displaced children and youth in the country. He will be presented with the award at a ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland, on December 13, 2023.

Zimbabwe has announced plans to build its first utility-scale geothermal energy Independent Power Producer (IPP), aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, particularly from the energy sector, which is the highest contributor in the country. The initiative is part of the Green Resilient Recovery Rapid Readiness and Geothermal Energy Development Project, identified as a key intervention area under the Green Climate Fund. The project involves constructing a 10MW geothermal power plant in the Chimbwatata Hot Springs in Binga District, contributing to clean and reliable energy access. The move is crucial amid challenges faced by hydropower due to climate change impacts, including droughts and reduced water levels.
