Ravichandran Ashwin Becomes First Indian International to Join US Major League Cricket

Ravichandran Ashwin is set to become the first Indian international cricketer to join Major League Cricket (MLC) in the USA, signing with the San Francisco Unicorns for the 2026 season. The veteran spinner, who played 287 matches and took 765 wickets for India, retired from international cricket in 2024 and concluded his IPL career last year.

Shri Chanchal Kumar has taken charge as the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on the 1st of April, 2026.  Mr. Chanchal Kumar is the 1992 batch IAS officer from the Bihar cadre and he will succeed the Sanjay Jaju. Also the Shri Sanjay Jaju has now been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.

Myanmar Military Chief Min Aung Hlaing Becomes President After Parliament Vote

Senior bureaucrat Vir Vikram Yadav has been appointed as the chief of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Yadav, a 1996 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Odisha cadre, succeeds incumbent Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, who has now been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
