Russia Plans to Build a Nuclear Power Plant on the Moon by 2036
Russia has announced ambitious plans to build a power plant on the Moon by 2036 to support its future lunar missions. The announcement was made by Roscosmos which is Russia’s state space agency, as global space powers accelerate efforts to explore and establish a long term presence on the Moon. The proposed plant will supply energy to rovers, scientific observatories, and infrastructure linked to a joint Russian-Chinese lunar base.
Japan to Restart World’s Largest Nuclear Plant After Fukushima Shutdown
Japan is set to resume operations at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant, the world’s largest nuclear facility, marking a major shift in its energy policy. This will be the first restart of the plant since the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster which led to a nationwide shutdown of nuclear reactors. India’s teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has rewritten the record books in men’s List A cricket. At just 14 years and 272 days, Suryavanshi scored a blistering 190 off 84 balls for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 opener at JSCA Oval, Ranchi.
