Indian Navy to Commission First Indigenous Diving Support Craft ‘DSC A20’

The Indian Navy is set to commission DSC A20, the first vessel in its new class of indigenously designed and built Diving Support Craft, on 16 December 2025 at Kochi, under the Southern Naval Command. The commissioning ceremony will be presided over by Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command. DSC A20’s induction marks a major step forward in enhancing the Navy’s underwater operations, diving support capability, and overall coastal mission effectiveness.

India is all set to host the first-ever Commonwealth Kho Kho Championship from March 9 to March 14, 2026. More than 24 countries from the Commonwealth are expected to take part in this historic event, marking a major milestone for the traditional Indian sport of Kho Kho. The Commonwealth Sports has officially approved India to host the 2026 Kho Kho Championship. This recognition highlights the growing global interest in Kho Kho, a sport that has deep roots in Indian culture and heritage.

Germany Defeats Spain to Win FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 in Chennai

The 14th edition of the FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 concluded in spectacular fashion in Chennai and Madurai, Tamil Nadu, with Germany emerging as the champion. The tournament was held from 28 November to 10 December 2025 across the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, Chennai, and the Madurai International Hockey Stadium. India has taken a historic step in green maritime mobility with the launch of its first fully indigenous hydrogen fuel cell passenger vessel, which began commercial operations at Namo Ghat, Varanasi.
