Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti 2025 observed on 2nd October, the 121st birth anniversary of India’s second Prime Minister. Shastri was admired for his simplicity, honesty, and love for the country. He is best remembered for his inspiring slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan”, which highlighted the importance of both soldiers and farmers. On this day, India pays tribute to his contributions and values.

Mahamahopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami, a renowned Sanskrit scholar and Vedanta philosopher of BAPS, was awarded the Saraswati Samman 2024 by the K.K. Birla Foundation for his work Swaminarayan Siddhant Sudha, presented by Gujarat and Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Ahmedabad. The award includes a citation, plaque, statue of Goddess Saraswati, and ₹15 lakh, which Swami Bhadreshdas dedicated to BAPS for charitable activities.

In a significant leadership reshuffle in India’s banking sector, the government has appointed Asheesh Pandey as the Managing Director and CEO of Union Bank of India, and Kalyan Kumar as the MD and CEO of Central Bank of India. The Tata Group, in partnership with Airbus, is launching India’s first private-sector helicopter Final Assembly Line (FAL) at Vemagal in Karnataka to produce the Airbus H125 helicopter. This initiative marks a significant milestone for India’s aerospace industry, as the facility will assemble, test, and deliver both civil and military versions of the H125.
