Navies of India and Singapore Successfully Conclude SIMBEX 2025
The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and the Indian Navy have successfully concluded the latest edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX), held from July 28 to August 1, 2025. This year’s edition, marking the 32nd SIMBEX since its inception in 1994, showcased the deepening defence partnership between the two nations as they also celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations.

Tata Motors’ PB Balaji Appointed as New CEO of Jaguar Land Rover

Sanjay Singhal Appointed as DG of SSB
The Central Government has appointed BSF’s Special Director General Sanjay Singhal as the new Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). He is a 1993-batch IPS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Sanjay Singhal will assume charge on September 1, 2025, and serve until his superannuation on December 31, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

India Becomes World’s 5th Biggest Aviation Market
India has officially emerged as the world’s fifth largest aviation market, handling 241 million passengers in 2024, according to the latest World Air Transport Statistics (WATS) released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Among the busiest flight routes, Mumbai-Delhi ranked 7th globally, marking India’s growing dominance in global air travel. India recorded 241 million air passengers in 2024, a 11.1% increase from 2023, when the figure stood at 211 million.
Sawalkote Hydropower Project: India Revives J&K’s Largest Hydroelectric Plant
